Leaving shrinky dink flowers partially curled will make sealing it a bit more of a challenge, however, it\u2019s still quite doable. This doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re making your shrinky dink flowers as a quick, just-for-fun craft, however, if you\u2019d like it to last, I recommend sealing it.<\/p>\n<p>Each key chain takes just a few minutes from start to finish, but my kids made batch after batch and were kept busy for the better part of the afternoon! Grab the kids and get ready for an afternoon of creative fun! Whether drawing your designs, printing images, or experimenting with glitter and sequins, personalization is key to making your keychains truly unique. If any designs remain slightly warped, gently press them flat with a spatula immediately after removing them from the oven. If you can, quickly flatten it further with something heat-resistant.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"toc-2\">Father&#8217;s Day template<\/h3>\n<p>My kids had been playing some games with plastic cups and one night, I noticed a huge stack of them leaning up against a wall in the living room. If you\u2019re worried, a coat of clear sealer after it cools will lock everything in place and add a gorgeous glossy finish. Stick with official Shrinky Dinks Shrinkable Plastic or a comparable shrink film product designed for ovens. Set up a painting station, let the kids go to town on their handprints, then take care of the baking yourself while they decorate cards or work on something else.<\/p>\n<p>Once it has stopped moving and lies flat, let it bake for another 30 seconds. They can also make your design uncomfortable to wear as jewelry or a keychain as it may be sharp. Rounded corners are preferable since sharp points can curl up too much or break after shrinking. Use sharp scissors for simple shapes, or a craft knife for more detailed edges.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-4\">Prepping your designs<\/h2>\n<p>Just create your design on the shrink film, cut it out, and attach it to your lampshade. These are perfect for adding some personality to your planner, and they\u2019re super simple to make. So grab a cup of tea, put on some relaxing tunes, and get ready to have some crafty fun with Shrinky Dinks! As we mentioned, not all plastics behave like this, so don\u2019t go putting every piece of flat plastic you find in the oven.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Trace your design onto the shrink film with a pencil. Now I can proudly display my kids art everywhere I go. If I\u2019m being honest\u2026 I\u2019m pretty sure I enjoy shrinky dinks just as much if not more than the kids.<\/p>\n<p>When he started throwing the pencils on the ground, we called his done. To start you need to do some math to figure out how big to make your frame. The kids and I then made and added the shrink plastic outer frames to them.
